The graduate program blends the academic study of the Bible and Christian theology with the practical application of Biblical faith and theology in diverse ministry settings to prepare Biblically based ministers ready to meet the challenges of the present and future spiritual environment.
Online Program Details
The Master of Arts in Christian Studies online program is comprised of a 30-hour curriculum. Since the graduate degree is offered entirely online, students anywhere in the world can take the courses and complete the program with added flexibility and convenience.
Courses are taught in 8-week bi-terms.
The 18-hour credit core courses for the degree include two semesters of Old Testament Survey, two semesters of New Testament Survey, and two courses in Christian theology. After completing all core courses, students must choose an emphasis in Biblical studies, Christian education, or church planting.
Students must take two courses from the chosen emphasis and an additional course from one of the other two emphases. The final course for the degree is a capstone course in which the student develops, implements, and evaluates a project in a ministry setting that fits the student’s God-given call and talents.
